I wouldnt call it blackened death but it certainly has the bleak dark atmosphere akin to Akhlys or Watain while pummeling you with pure death metal and a touch of dissonance and doominess á la Morbid Angel..it really combines almost everything i love about metal and theres not a weak spot on here..their first album was good but this is stylistically much different and a vast improvement. Crunchy and sweet like those sugar wafer "cookies" I devoured as a kid. But instead of tooth decay and stomach unease, this album perfectly speaks to my soul decay and general unease with this world in the sweetest of ways. Obstacle of Affliction

Day of Disease is heavy and intimidating death doom with a macabre theme. However, all I could think of between the cover and track titles was Army of Darkness. Metallurgical Fire
